Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation or more known as MDEC has launched eUsahawan program in 2015 with aims to give exposure and to inspire Malaysian youth as well as micro-entrepreneurs of Small and Medium Enterprises towards digital entrepreneurship to generate rewarding returns through digital platform.
This program is an initiative by MDEC and government to nurture digital entrepreneurship and enlivens Malaysia’s economic sector.
The collaborations and joint ventures of different parties in strengthening Malaysia’s economy has closely held the aspiration of Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ). The effort shows government keenness in helping people to improve individual and their family economy state to a higher level of paradigm. DFTZ is a strategic realm of physical and virtual zones whereby efficient innovation process of internet and international e-commerce based trade coexist. The project driving force also supported by other programs such as e-commerce ecosystem, Digital Movement Maker and new category like Malaysia Digital Hub.
eUsahawan program offers a world of entrepreneurship knowledge to be explored by them who dare to transform and have the passion to spread wings in the business field. The participants will be exposed to effective techniques of digital marketing, which is practical and relevant to current situation.
As such, long-term objective of eUsahawan program is to give exposure to participants about digital entrepreneurship as they are encouraged to utilize digital platform capacity to expand their business in accordance to national digital economy agenda.
